About

The work behind the work.

Teacher, founder, and coach. I believe leadership is influence — which means everyone is called to lead, starting with the hardest person to lead: yourself. For over two decades, I’ve helped mission-minded leaders do exactly that.

My story

There’s always been more in the room than the résumé explains.

For over 20 years, I’ve walked with leaders and families through growth, transition, and everything in between — from Fortune 100 environments to churches, nonprofits, startups, and the living-room couch.

I’ve sat with CEOs, pastors, entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents, students, and “post-retirement” leaders who all had one thing in common: they knew there was more in them than what they were currently living.

My background is a blend of theology, leadership, and high-performance coaching. I’ve led teams, launched organizations, built and sold two businesses, and coached leaders carrying a lot — vision, pressure, and people.

Over time, I’ve learned the real work isn’t just strategy. It’s helping people see who they are, what season they’re in, and how to align their life and leadership with that design.

Maximize Design is the overflow of that calling. I started it to give mission-minded leaders a trusted space to process honestly, get clear, get aligned, and build lives and organizations that are healthy, effective, and built to last.

What I believe

Embrace the fullness of who you are, and you show up the way the world actually needs.

Leadership is influence — and influence starts at home, with you. The first task of leadership is leading yourself well; personal leadership unlocks the door to every other kind. When you embrace the fullness of who you are, you stop leading by default and start leading by design. So my work starts at the core, not the calendar — because what you do under pressure isn’t a character failure, it’s your habit structure made visible. Change what’s underneath, and everything you lead changes with it.

Why I do it

Paying forward what I was given.

I love people, and I believe in what’s possible when the right support shows up at the right time. So much of my own story was shaped by others coming alongside me — coaching that unlocked me, counsel that realigned me, a word that shifted my trajectory. Maximize Design is my way of paying that forward: creating intentional spaces and practical frameworks so other leaders, teams, and families can experience the same clarity, alignment, and transformation I was given.

What shapes the work

Five convictions, held closely.

Integrity

I do what’s right because it’s right — not because it’s easy or convenient. You can trust me to tell the truth and steward influence well.

Excellence

I prepare well, show up fully, and finish what I start. Details matter — not for perfection’s sake, but because people and impact matter.

Honor

I lead with humility, truth, and respect for the people I serve. I’ll challenge you when needed, in a way that protects dignity and builds trust.

Clarity

I help leaders see themselves and their direction clearly — naming reality and removing fog so decisions get simpler and more aligned.

Design

No copy-and-paste solutions. I build custom pathways that fit each leader, culture, and mission — so change is sustainable in real life.
